I am Sean Beer a strong prop builder with a background in painting sculpting and fabrication. As a result of my learning in my technical production program at Sheridan College, as well as my current Sfx program, My education provided me with a strong learning experience in a variety of disciplines each extremely valuable to a prop builder. Although I have experience in many fields my greatest strength is my ability to adapt and learn new skills to fulfil any potential jobs I could receive. Working at the shaw festival theatre I was told that the best quality in a prop builder is to be willing to learn absolutely anything. You never know what a designer will need you to build and the ability to adapt makes you an invaluable asset to any team.

 Although I began my career in theatre I would like to work in film and tv with an emphasis on puppetry, costuming, and creature suit fabrication.  My favourite movies growing up always featured incredible costumes and creative solutions to bring bizarre situations to life, as a result, I aspire to bring these feelings to a new generation by creating the same effects. I am driven by my love for film and theatre as well as my love of expressing my art and creativity while collaborating with multiple artists to create a fantastic finished product. Throughout my career, I believe my ability to adapt and my passion for the work I do will provide my employers with a strong confident worker that has the capability to work in a team setting with the motivation to experience new and interesting challenges through the art form of film and theatre.
